This was initially a demo EP with 6 songs but DWM had more to share so they released a Double EP as their demo and introduction to the world. This is a remastered version of the Double EP to today's standards as much as possible since most was done on 4 track. Ths music focuses on dark sounds, sick drums, and dope lyrics and pirate theme. This is for people who loved the old Wu, Killarmy, Mobb Deep era. They gained attention and interest from Dan the Automator

Dark Water Merchantz was inspired by boom bap, lyrical hip hop. Wu Tang, Hieroglyphics, and various indie hop hop artists. The core group of DWM is producer Tha Strida Hiryu, Sunn Tha Mythological God Apollo (Sunn Sunn Scizzorhandz), Atllas, and Kahnquest.
